BREEZEY MASTERS GRAND FINAL & BARISTASFORBARISTAS.COM BIRTHDAY PARTY

The Breezey Masters is in its fourth year and will be holding the grand final at Specialty Coffee Curators in Sydney to crown the ANZ Breezey Masters champion. The Breezey Masters is a top class latte art competition that lets baristas showcase their skills using Almond Breeze Barista Blend, the low sugar café almond milk.

The competing baristas are required to make four different patterns and a free pour – a heart, tulip, rosetta, swan and a free pour design. The baristas are judged by our very special industry judges on the quality of their designs, with the added pressure of completing their drinks within a two minute time period.

This year, eight talented finalists from across Australia and New Zealand will battle it out for this year’s top prize, with both first and second place-getters then earning a trip to the USA to compete at the New York Coffee Festival in October.

And in a hot twist, for the first time, the ANZ representatives will then go head to head against America’s best baristas in the inaugural Almond Breeze Barista Blend World Series Coffee Smackdown.

In addition to the two finalists heading to NYC for the ANZ vs USA smackdown, we’re adding another wildcard round, for one more talented barista to secure a spot to compete in the US too – so if you fancy yourself as a whiz with the almond milk, we’d love to hear from you and see you there on the night!

We’re excited to announce the Breezey Masters format for 2019!

FIVE cups in THREE Rounds with a ‘second crack’ round to give an extra opportunity to reach the final. Scored on presentation only. All espresso shots will be pulled by a 3rd party.
All competitors will get to spin and heat Almond Breeze Barista Blend and pour their best Heart, Tulip, Rosetta, Swan and Free Pour patterns. Judges will be scoring based on complexity and clarity for all patterns.

ROUND 1 
• Produce Heart and Tulip pattern
• 2 mins allocated to each round

Top FIVE competitors go through to Round TWO.
The remaining competitors will go through to the ‘second crack’ round.

SECOND CRACK ROUND 
• Produce Free pour pattern
• 1 mins allocated to each round

TOP FIVE
go through to Round TWO

ROUND 2 
• Produce Rosetta and Swan pattern
• 2 mins allocated to each round

TOP FOUR go through to Round THREE (Final)

ROUND 3 – The Final
• 1 Cup only FREE Pour 
• 1 min allocated to each round

1st Place will be the highest score combined Round ONE, Round TWO and Round THREE.
