ACCREDITED BARISTA COURSE, VICTORIA

This accredited course, Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee SITHFAB005, is designed for you to obtain current industry knowledge and skills required to enable you to work in the hospitality industry as a barista in cafes, restaurants or hotels.

Note that in order to complete this accreditation, you need to have completed: Food Handler SITXFSA001.

The training will include a theory component where you will discover the history and the trail of how the original coffee cherry is harvested, through to becoming the roasted coffee bean as we know it today. The practical component will have you making Espresso, Ristretto, Doppio, Macchiato, Latte, Flat White, Mocha, Long Black and Cappuccino from unlimited milk and coffee.

What you’ll learn:
– Select and grind coffee beans
– Extract and serve espresso coffee using commercial espresso machines.
– Extract and monitor quality of espresso
– Undertake milk texturing processes
– Clean espresso equipment

You’ll receive a certificate of achievement.
