Every Monday at 2pm Brunswick East Cafe & Roastery host an open information and training session.
Acids occur naturally in coffee, whether they are brought about during the plant’s development, processing, roasting or extraction. Their presence in coffee has the ability to greatly influence the properties and flavours we perceive in the cup. In this workshop, Padre Brunswick East’s Sarah will host a series of cupping and tasting exercises to identify some of the acids present in coffee and assist in understanding of how they occur.
For this workshop, you’ll be moving away from the technicalities of assessing just organic acids and focusing on consolidating a basic understanding of acidity in coffee. First timers to coffee and/or cupping are welcome!
