COFFEE TRAINING, NSW

This barista coffee course in Sydney gives you the skills to prepare and serve espresso in restaurants, bars and cafes using a commercial espresso machines.

During this six hour course, you will learn essential coffee skills in a group environment that allows time to receive practical training and to then making coffee under the suprvision of a qualified barista trainer.

Short Courses Australia have aligned this course with the national unit of competence SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee and participants will receive training in the following:

  • History and origins of coffee
  • Grind management and dosing;
  • The start-up and break down of a coffee machine
  • Creating up to 12 different coffee styles
  • Develop skill required to texture milk
  • Tasting and understanding the ranges and strengths of coffee.
 

This qualification also includes a brief overview of the history of tea including how to prepare and serve non aloholic beverages. This component of the course is aligned with the national unit of competence SITHFAB004 Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages.

Participants receive a certificate of participation in the national units of competence SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee and SITHFAB004 Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages.
